Prince Harry is the bachelor of the moment in a new documentary trailing five girls who want to be his wife. (Chris Helgren/Reuters)A new documentary will track the adventures of a handful of young women desperate to become the wife of Prince Harry.

First Cut: The Harry Hunters will follow "five girls who are determined in their quest to snag their very own Prince Charming," according to England's Channel 4, which produced the doc.

Among the five are 21-year-olds Cassie and Whitney, both from rural Iowa; East London teenage social queens Jade and Joy; and 14-year-old Flora, of London's posh Chelsea neighbourhood. (Joy, 16, "even has an engagement ring for the Prince when the right moment comes to propose," Channel 4 said.)

All of them appear obsessed with the 27-year-old prince.

The show follows them as they hit the prince's favourite nightspots, track him on Twitter and read the press to monitor his movements.

"The Harry Hunters shares the romantic age-old dreams held by thousands of young girls around the world," said Aysha Rafael, Channel 4's commissioning editor . "They fantasize of fairy tale dresses, extravagant royal weddings and for that special day when they finally meet their Prince Charming."

There is no indication that Prince Harry or anyone affiliated with Buckingham Palace had anything to do with the documentary.
