Inside Politics

Bienvenido, Secretario de Relaciones Exteriores!

As Canada's provincial and territorial leaders converge on Niagara-on-the-Lake for their annual confab, the sole political event set to unfold in Ottawa today is a joint meeting between Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird and his Mexican counterpart, José Antonio Meade Kuribreña.

Outside the capital, meanwhile, Justice Minister Peter MacKay continues his inaugural tour in his new role with a visit to Edmonton, where he'll take part in roundtable discussions on the coming Canadian Victims' Bill of Rights.

Finally, on the west coast, Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau drops by English Bay for a mid-morning "meet-and-greet."
