You might call this one the Mr. and Mrs. Carter Show: hip hop and pop superstars Jay Z and Beyoncé have confirmed wide speculation they'd team up onstage for an upcoming summer tour.

The On The Run Tour will take the pair through a spate of U.S. and Canadian dates and is technically the musical uber couple's first official joint concert series.

But wait! If it seems like these two were just in your neck of the woods recently, that could very well be true. Queen Bey (aka Mrs. Shawn "Jay Z" Carter) recently concluded her nearly yearlong Mrs. Carter Show World Tour. Meanwhile, Hova spent last summer sharing the stage with Justin Timberlake on their Legends of Summer Stadium Tour, which played the U.S., Canada and London, England. In the fall, his solo Magna Carter World Tour followed, taking the rap mogul across Europe and North America through January.

Whether you're an emerging band, reigning pop princess, stadium-filling stalwart or classic rockers reunited, concert tours are the real money-maker for musicians these days, so the always-busy, business-savvy power couple (who topped Forbes magazine's highest-earning celebrity couples tally in September) know what they're doing.

And who knows, maybe little Blue Ivy will make her concert tour debut this summer, too.
