Susan is spending some time with her beautiful baby. She returns to CBC Windsor July 2013.
Susan Pedler is the host of CBC Television's News at Six in Windsor, Ontario. This lively and engaging host has a "hands-on" approach with each newscast. "I'm involved in everything from the morning's first story meeting to the final touches on scripts right before we go to air," says Susan.
Susan is also CBC's national reporter for Southwestern Ontario. She covers border issues, the automotive industry and breaking news from the region.
Prior to arriving in Windsor, this award-winning journalist reported for CBC Television in St. John's, Newfoundland & Labrador, where she covered everything from the gas sniffing crisis in Davis Inlet to Brian Tobin's resignation, to the 17 day province-wide doctors' strike. Susan has also reported for CBC Television in Charlottetown and Toronto.
This is Susan's second career. She was an x-ray technologist at Toronto General Hospital before making the move to journalism. "I get asked about the career switch all the time," says Susan, "I miss the interaction with patients, but it was the right move. I could no longer deny the fact that I was a news junkie."
