What makes one beautiful artwork worth more than another? If it’s by an accomplished, well-known artist, that often makes a difference. Other key factors include rarity, when a work was created (say, during a significant time in the artist’s life) and who’s owned it over the years. Sometimes, a great back story is what elevates an artwork into a must-have for collectors.
