U.S. debt crisis: Who gets paid if deadline passes?

Should the debt ceiling stalemate not end before Aug. 2, the U.S. Treasury Department will be forced to sort out who will and won't be paid. The treasury, which is expected to bring in $172.4 billion US in August, will face a pile of bills valued at around $306.7 billion, according to the Bipartisan Policy Center. The chart below shows a breakdown of what would be owed.
