The mysterious disappearance of a Malaysia Airlines flight, carrying 239 people, has sparked a massive search and rescue effort. The Beijing-bound plane left Kuala Lumpur on March 8 and mysteriously dropped from radar screens about an hour after takeoff. No trace of it has been seen since.
Australia, Vietnam, China and the U.S. are among the countries who've sent ships, planes and helicopters to aid in the search effort. Here is an overview of the equipment involved in the investigation.
