By the numbers: Crunching the "Crackstarter" campaign

Road to $200K marked with sharp peaks

Last Updated: May 29, 2013

Embattled Toronto Mayor Rob Ford was the subject of a crowdfunding campaign seeking to raise $200,000 over 11 days. The goal: Purchase an alleged video shown to reporters at the Toronto Star and the U.S. gossip site Gawker. The video allegedly shows the mayor smoking what appears to be crack cocaine.

CBC News has not been able to validate the existence of the video or any of the claims being made about it. Gawker launched the Indiegogo campaign on May 17, and raised over $44,000 on its first day. Eventually, a total of $201,254 was raised. Here's a look at how the campaign donations break down day by day.
