Last Updated: April 20, 2013

Police pursued the Boston marathon bombing suspects through the streets of Cambridge and Watertown, Mass., for almost 24 hours on April 18 and 19. Officials say the suspects shot an MIT police officer and carjacked a vehicle before exchanging fire with police.

One suspect was critically injured and pronounced dead at the scene of the firefight. A manhunt began shortly after for the second suspect, who was later captured in a boat parked beside a Watertown home.
