BEFORE & AFTER | New York City gas explosion

An explosion triggered by a gas leak destroyed two apartment buildings in East Harlem near Park Avenue and 116th Street, leaving at least 7 dead and more than 60 injured.

The fiery blast erupted on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m., about 15 minutes after a neighbourhood resident reported smelling gas, according to authorities. Move the arrows from side to side in the photos below to see more.
