Military families know first-hand that Remembrance Day is both a time to honour our soldiers and a time to mourn. We Remember offers a rare opportunity to hear the hidden stories and discover new perspectives on the meaning of Remembrance Day.
CBC News asked members of Canada's military families, both young and old, to describe what Remembrance Day means to them. Their experiences might be different, but they all have one thing in common - someone in their family is serving or has served in Afghanistan. Some, too, have a loved one who didn't come home.
These family members recorded their thoughts on video and shared their innermost feelings. They also sent some treasured photos so that you could see, through their eyes, those special moments of love and courage.
