The New York Rangers have successfully conducted the best "Melting Pot" in the NHL. The Blueshirts have grit in Avery, leadership and grit in Shanahan, European talents such as Straka and Nylander, great goaltending in Lundqvist, coaching and management in Renny and Sather, toughness in Orr, and most importantly production and apparent happiness in Jagr. We will breeze through the first round and look forward to the challenges in Round # 2.

I compare the Thrashers to the 2004 Flames. They have the right mix of experience and youth with some solid goaltending. Great trades at the deadline, tonnes of goal scoring ability, solid D. Don't forget they were one of the hottest teams in the league over the final 20.
The x factor will be their fans. First playoff appearance ever......Phillips will be rocking...here is my call...you might think a long shot .....Thrashers will play for the cup in June.

Ditto on the Thrashers in 6. Both teams are evenly matched, so it will probably come down to who wants it more.

Rangers will take it in 6.
Back in his Ottawa days Hossa was usually seen in the golf shops buying new clubs during the 1st round game days.
I see no Cup in his future.

Thrashers in 6 im guessing. Hossa, Kovalchuk, and Holik are all amazing and can score big goals. The Rangers have got players like Jagr, and Shanahan who can score lotz 2. Lehtonen and Lundqvist are both equal enough matches. I think Atlanta has got a stronger team in all tho
