The 85th Annual Academy Awards take place this Sunday, bringing devoted cinephiles, casual movie lovers, and gossip-hungry star watchers alike together in front of TV sets across the nation.
Many people tune in out of love for the art of film, but another sizeable chunk of viewers are more interested in what goes on before the show begins -- outside on the red carpet.
In anticipation of this year's forthcoming best and worst-dressed lists, we've rounded up some of the most memorable outfits ever worn by stars attending the Academy Awards.
