Our own Twitter followers have sent us photos of airport lobbies, snow-covered balconies and tree-lined paths. Between 15 and 25 centimetres of snow are expected to fall across southern Ontario before the storm lets up.

Angela Henshilwood, who sent us this photo taken from her bedroom window, assured us that she had plenty of snacks and blankets with her as she watched the skies.

Steve Hammond's flight to Vancouver, for instance, has been rescheduled until tomorrow.

Still, the commute to work or school was worth the hassle for many.

Needless to say, not everyone is enjoying the weather -- but it seems many dogs were happy their people got to stay home today.

@CBCNews @cbccommunity #snowday #TOstorm #dogscantshovel http://pic.twitter.com/CwkP1oLsRumor the WiseAlthough many seem delighted by the snowfall, police are reminding everyone to be extra cautious -- especially if you get behind the wheel of a car today.

"People think because they have snow tires or four-wheel drive, nothing can happen to them. If you have to be out, slow down. If you don't have to be out anywhere, don't go on the roads," said Ontario Provincial Police Sgt. Dave Woodford.

The same weather system may dump up to 90 cm of snow across the northeastern United States.
