August photo contest: the winner!

Congratulations to Anne Waters of Ottawa Ontario, the winner of our "August Al Fresco" outdoor food photo contest!

Competition was stiff this month, but Anne's lovely photo still swept the contest with 42 per cent of vote.

The CBC audience appears to be just as enticed as we were by the lovely tray of veggies she sent in.

As we wrote when selecting this photo as a finalist, "We love the way the produce is arranged, with spots of colour from the radishes and carrots popping out of the lush green veggies. Time for a stir fry! Or maybe a salad."

A big thanks goes out to all of the talented CBC Community photographers who submitted images this month, and also to the voters who helped us choose this month's winner!
