CBC's David McKie on investigative reporting

Welcome to the third installation of Ask CBC News.

David McKie, an award-winning investigative journalist in the CBC Parliamentary bureau, has fielded two questions from the CBC Community.

We would like to thank Alyssa Stryker for her questions about Freedom of Information requests and investigative journalism.

About David McKie

 David McKie (CBC) David McKie is an investigative journalist who uses access-to-information and computer-assisted reporting to get many of his stories.

He has led investigations into drug, food and workplace safety, all of which have resulted in important policy changes.

In 2008, he was part of a team that won the Michener Award for its coverage on Tasers.

David also teaches journalism part-time at Carleton University and Algonquin College, and has co-authored two journalism textbooks.
