Quarterback Tim Tebow, seen here in his Denver Broncos gear, has been traded to the New York Jets. (Charles Krupa)Can New York survive Linsanity and Tebowmania? Tune in to find out.Tim Tebow, a sensation in his first season as starting quarterback of the Denver Broncos, has been traded to the New York Jets.
The trade was announced Wednesday, less than 24 hours after former Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning signed a five-year contract with the Broncos for $96 million US.
Tebow led the Broncos to the playoffs last season -- along the way beating the Jets and their current starting quarterback, Mark Sanchez, who missed the postseason.
But Denver executive John Elway believed Manning gave the team a better chance at winning a championship now.
Tebow is expected to play as a backup for Sanchez, who received a $40.5 million US contract extension, with $20.5 million guaranteed, earlier this month.
Do you agree with the trade? Why or why not? What do you predict for Tebow's time with the Jets? Share your thoughts in the field below.
