1) Woman faces more than 100 forgery charges

A Yellowknife woman has been accused of stealing tens of thousands of dollars from her former employer.

2) Census shows six Nunavut communities shrinking

Though Nunavut is growing faster than most other parts of Canada, at a rate of eight per cent between 2006 and 2011 according to census numbers released Wednesday, not all of its communities are growing.

3) Yukon Quest mushers arrive in Dawson City

Allen Moore of Two Rivers, Alaska, was the first Yukon Quest musher to reach Dawson City, Yukon early Thursday.

He arrived just after 12:30 a.m. with Lance Mackey and Hugh Neff not far behind. Mackey arrived before 1 a.m, and Neff arrived in third place, just after 1:30 a.m.

4) Man charged in Yukon hotelier's death wants reduced sentence

A Carcross, Yukon, man who was found guilty of manslaughter is looking to have his sentence reduced.

5) Tassimo coffee makers recalled for burn risk

Home-brewed coffee lovers, take note: More than a million popular coffee makers are being recalled after dozens of reports of the brewers spraying hot liquid, coffee grounds or tea leaves onto people.
