CBC News Network wants your questions for the NDP leadership candidates.

Beginning Sun., Jan. 8, CBC News Now with Nancy Wilson, which airs from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. ET, which feature interviews with each of the eight candidates. Guests will be interviewed at 11:15 a.m. ET.

Ashton ran for a seat in the House of Commons in 2006 when she was 24 and lost, but was successful the next time around in 2008 and was elected in the riding of Churchill in Manitoba. She was re-elected in 2011.

She is currently chair of the status of women committee.

An interview Thomas Mulcair has yet to be confirmed.

Beyond its own questions, CBC News wants to know what questions you'd like to put to the individual candidates. Tune in to see if your question will be asked, and how the candidate responds.

We'll be choosing open-ended questions in order to fuel conversation, rather than questions that can be answered with a simple "yes" or "no."

Submit your question in the comments field below, or email it to us at yournews@cbc.ca.

You can view previous interviews with candidates at the links below, or at the CBC News Community videos page.
