Today's photo comes from Susan Banjavich of Gabriola Island, B.C. The picture is titled "Heart of stone."

"This is my heart of stone. I collect heart rocks," writes Susan.
The large heart-shaped rock is a sight to behold, and even many of the smaller stones scattered about have vaguely heart-like shapes. But the surrounding details help to give the entire scene an ethereal, almost mystical feel.
The lantern accompanying the heart of stone is just as notable. The globe bounces off the light to form a colourful, "shattered glass" effect. And the cloudy haze in the background makes us feel as though a druid is talking a stroll just around the corner.
Thanks for the submission, Susan!
We'll be posting your best shots with the theme of "Love" each day in February. At the end of the month, we'll select five finalists and ask you to vote for your favourite.
The contest winner will receive a prize courtesy of the CBC Shop.
This month's Love-related gift is the 18 to Life Season 1 DVD set.
