It's February, a month of frosty winter weather, mid-term exams and, this leap year, one more day until the arrival of spring.

Of course, let's not forget Valentine's Day, that day of Cupid, candy hearts and romantic dinners.

Call us sentimental, but we've taken Valentine's Day as inspiration for this month's photo contest theme: Love!

But the theme of love isn't limited to photos of one's belle or beau. Maybe it's love of family (stay tuned, some of you, for Family Day on Feb. 20!) or love of country (Flag Day's on Feb. 26). Or maybe you love your pet and you want to share a photo of him or her; or that you love cooking, and want to share your favourite dish.

However you wish to represent the theme, we're excited to see what you've come up with.

We'll be posting your best shots each day in February. At the end of the month, we'll select five finalists and ask you to vote for your favourite.

The contest winner will receive a prize courtesy of the CBC Shop.
