(Nathan Denette/Canadian Press)The Toronto Blue Jays unveiled an updated look for the next season that featured more than a few familiar touches from the team's past.
The team unveiled their 2012 uniforms -- with Jose Bautista, Brett Lawrie and Ricky Romero as models, among others --complete with a logo strikingly similar to its design from the past.
The logo is a modernized version of the club's powder blue jerseys from the 1980s, only this time the organization opted for darker, royal blue.
"I think the biggest thing for me was just getting blue back," said general manager Alex Anthopoulos. "We're the Blue Jays."
The CN Tower was lit up in blue Friday night as a salute to the team's 35-history, new logo and uniforms.
Do you like the Toronto Blue Jays' new, old logo? Do you appreciate the throwback to the team's history, or is just another move to sell new merchandise to fans? Tell us the score in the comments section below.
