Would you eat Tim Hortons lasagna?

Categories: Business

A Tim Hortons customer leaves the restaurant. (Brendan McDermid/Reuters) Move the muffins aside -- a hot new menu item is coming to a Tim Hortons near you. Starting Monday, customers will be able to pair their double-double with a beef lasagna casserole bowl.

The popular chain is offering the pasta to-go at several locations in an effort to expand its lunch menu beyond the more familiar soup and sandwich selection.

The chain hopes the new lasagna -- already popular with overweight cartoon cats -- will help them stand out from competitors like the restaurant McDonald's, which also serves a broad selection of coffee, and the coffee chain Starbucks, which also serves food.

Do you like the trend toward a wider selection everywhere? Are there some items that just shouldn't be served as fast food?
