Riley Duckworth, 25, and Patricia Pattenden, 23, were at a Tim Hortons in Blenheim in September when they kissed. Another customer complained to the manager, and the couple was asked to leave.

The complainant, Rev. Eric Revie, says he thought they were a heterosexual couple and felt their public displays of affection crossed the line.

The restaurant issued a public statement on Monday apologizing for the incident.

But Duckworth says she wants a personal apology.

"We weren't making out or anything," Duckworth told CBC Windsor's Early Shift. "We weren't doing anything grotesque."

The couple's protest is planned for Thursday.

Are you satisfied with Tim Hortons' response? Do you think they owe Duckworth and her partner a personal apology?
