Would you ditch your purse if you could pay for everything using your mobile phone? That's what Google is banking on as they get set to launch their new Wallet app.
According to reports from the Washington Post, the tech giant will release their electronic payment application as soon as Monday.
Users would load all their credit card information into the app, and use it at retail checkouts enabled with Wallet-friendly readers.
While the initial release will be limited, only available on the Nexus S 4G phone in the U.S., a successful launch will have wider implications for tap-and-pay readers.
Would you feel safe loading your credit card information into an electronic wallet? If the Google Wallet were available in Canada, would you use it?
