The Blenz coffee shop that was damaged in the Vancouver Stanley Cup riot has reopened, two months after vandals forced the West Georgia Street business to shut down.

At the time of the June 15 riots, a mob smashed every window, destroyed furniture and stole merchandise while the store's owner and employees sought refuge in the coffee shop's small back room.

Riot damage at the shop was estimated at about $100,000.

Blenz president George Moen is now hoping to make rioters pay for what they did to the store, suing 150 unnamed looters and vandals in a lawsuit that seeks punitive damages, as well as money for lost revenue and the value of items destroyed or stolen.

Does Blenz coffee have a case? Should the people who rioted in Vancouver be forced to pay for the damages they caused? Why or why not? Share your comments below.
