Do you lie about your weight? New figures from Statistics Canada suggest more often than not, Canadian adults stretch the truth when it comes to the scale.

One survey of Canadians aged 18 to 79 suggests that men tend to underreport their weight by 1.9 kilograms and women by 2.4 kilograms. A second survey pointed to a difference of about a third of kilogram for men and 1.4 kilograms for women.

The study was done to prove the theory that when it comes to weight, most adults see theirs through rose-coloured glasses.

When it comes to the scale, do you always tell the truth? In what scenarios would you lie about your weight?
