Police in B.C. are warning that the daylight killing of gang leader Jonathan Bacon could spark retaliatory attacks.
"I think retaliation is something we're very cautious of," said RCMP Supt. Bill McKinnon. "Where it might happen, whether it'll happen in Kelowna or any community in this province is something that law enforcement officials are very leery of at this particular time."
The attack also injured a full-patch member of the Hells Angels.
Gang members were also the target of a shooting in Surrey, B.C., Monday night.
And police in Winnipeg warned people in the suburban area of Transcona about gang activity after three men were shot in a garage there.
Separately, a turf war between the Hells Angels and Rock Machine motorcycle gangs has made headlines in Winnipeg for most of the summer. Police said the shooting didn't appear linked to the gang battle.
