The theme of this month's photo contest is "Spring forward" and we'll be highlighting some our favourite entries every day.
Today's pick of the day comes courtesy of CBC Community member HappyNSMom, who submitted this stunning snapshot entitled "Gary the Snail."

HappyNSMom provided this amusing description along with her eye-catching snapshot:
"Gary is my son's (age 7) pet snail. Gary loves lettuce and enjoys sitting on our coffee maker. He has a girlfriend called Marlene, but she is shy, and rarely comes out of her shell."
With its vibrant, spring-like colour palette, and attention to Gary's purposeful trek across the coffee maker, the picture is a clever riff on May's "Spring forward" theme.
How would you interpret this month's "Spring forward" theme? Be as creative as you'd like -- we can't wait to see more of your contest submissions.
Send in your photos by May 26. We'll reveal our contest finalists on May 31, so be sure to check back and vote for your favourite entry.
The winner will receive a prize courtesy of the CBC Shop.
