As the campaign winds down, the NDP's social media surge is continuing. Party leader Jack Layton's Facebook page gained another 1,748 fans since Thursday. Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff's page gained another 829 "likes," while Conservative Leader Stephen Harper's page gained 297.
Layton also gained another 525 Twitter followers in the past day. Ignatieff gained 219 and Harper gained 180.
But Ignatieff has gained the most followers from the start of the campaign until Friday: 32,173. Layton amassed 31,008 new followers so far, while Harper has gained 29,142. Green Party Leader Elizabeth May and Bloc Québécois Duceppe gained 11,444 and 10,801, respectively
