Care for seniors: Is proper care inaccessible?

The issue of care for the elderly was back in the news this week as a 68-year-old Toronto woman suffering from dementia was found freezing in a garage.

Her son and daughter-in-law were charged Friday with failing to provide the necessities of life and criminal negligence causing bodily harm.

Long waiting lists are often cited as an obstacle to obtaining care for seniors.
