Live chat replay: What should be done about concussions?

Categories: Canada

Recent high-profile concussions in professional sports, such as Pittsburgh Penguins' star Sidney Crosby's from a Jan. 1 bodycheck, have put the spotlight on concussions at all levels of sports.

While experts know more now than ever about the brain injury, many questions remain. And awareness among health-care practitioners, coaches and parents about the symptoms and treatment still remain low.

CBCNews.ca has invited several experts to answer your questions about concussions: What happens to the brain when someone gets one? What should we do to minimize the risk in sports? And what's the best treatment?

Teddy Katz, a CBC Radio reporter who has extensively covered the issue, will host the discussion from on Tuesday, Feb. 22 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. ET.
