For several days in late November, a CBC News team was in Haiti to cover the presidential election and see first-hand how the country's embattled citizens have been dealing with a cholera epidemic and the recovery following the devastating Jan. 12 earthquake.

A live blog tracked their progress. CBC News journalists, including online reporter Amber Hildebrandt and correspondents David Common and Paul Hunter, presented a glimpse into the lives of Haitians through photos, Twitter updates and reporting.

You can revisit their coverage in the blog widget below. Some of the reports include:

Monday, Nov. 22:
The CBC News crew visits a cholera clinic and a tent city on a hillside outside Port-au-Prince (1:50 p.m.). You can view a photo gallery of the patients at the clinic here. Other photos show the many ramshackle structures dotting the landscape.

Wednesday, Nov. 24: Amber Hildebrandt spends some time at a market speaking to people about the election and the health crisis (11:45 a.m.) and Paul Hunter provides a photo of his visit to a mass grave (9:15 p.m.).

Thursday, Nov. 25:
Amber Hildebrandt surveys the scene at a work-for-food organization (10:02 a.m.) while Paul Hunter describes hearing local radio reports about two men being lynched and killed for carrying mythical "cholera powder" (4:54 p.m.). David Common also contributes an emotional blog post about returning to Haiti following the earthquake and seeing "tremendous resilience in the face of so much pain" (9:38 p.m.).

Friday, Nov. 26: Paul Hunter writes about hearing gunshots outside the CBC crew's guesthouse, producer Sylvia Thomson posts pictures of Haitians waiting in line for their voter cards (2:42 p.m.), and Amber Hildebrandt captures some video and audio of a presidential campaign rally in Carrefour, one of the country's poorest areas (4:40 p.m.). The crew also gets an interview with Michel Martelly, one of the leading candidates. Later in the evening, someone attempts to assassinate Martelly at a rally (11:14 p.m.).

Sunday, Nov. 28:
David Common and Amber Hildebrandt hit the streets and provide Twitter updates on election day, giving us a close-up view. Some frustrated voters spend hours waiting in line. Sylvia Thomson posts pictures of riot police in La Piste, Port-au-Prince standing by (10:15 a.m.). The presidential candidates call for an annulment of the election results, citing ballot box stuffing and other election fraud. The CBC crew provides extensive post-election coverage.

Monday, Nov. 29:
Amber Hildebrandt writes about her frightening experience at a roadblock where gunshots suddenly rang out (12:07 p.m.), while Paul Hunter recalls another visit to a cholera clinic where he saw how agonizing the disease can be (5:19 p.m.).

The CBC News team posted many amazing photos throughout the trip to the blog. Check out these photo galleries to see some of what they captured.
