CBC: Culture Days

Categories: Canada

CBC kicks off Culture Days in Toronto on Thursday with a full day of programming and events at Yonge-Dundas Square. Live programming includes: Q with Jian Ghomeshi, a live broadcast of Steven and Chris, CBC News and CBC Sports and a music concert featuring Great Lake Swimmers, Bedouin Soundclash and Sloan from the main stage starting at 7:30 p.m.

Make sure to come down and visit the CBC News Your Voice team for a step-by-step demonstration on how to contribute to our page. We'll be at the square all day taking your questions and working with you one-on-one to help you tell the stories that matter to you and your community.

If you can't attend the event in person, follow us on Twitter @cbcyourvoice, and we'll bring you live updates from the activities at Yonge and Dundas.

If you're down at the event, help us cover the day by tweeting to #cbcyv and #culturedays

Culture Days, a free event that invites the public to see what goes on behind the scenes in creating arts and culture in their own community, was initiated by four founding partners: the Canadian Arts Summit, Culture pour tous (producer of les Journées de la Culture), Canada Council for the Arts and the Banff Centre.

Other Culture Days events are taking place Sept. 24-26 in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, the Yukon and the Northwest Territories.
