Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, have released a new photograph taken with their eight-month-old son, Prince George, ahead of their tour of New Zealand and Australia.

George, third in line to the throne, is pictured alongside his parents in a window of their apartment at Kensington Palace in London.

The young prince is looking toward the family's pet dog, Lupo.

The picture was taken by photographer Jason Bell earlier this month.

He also took official photographs of Prince George's Christening last October.

The royals, accompanied by Prince George, will visit New Zealand and Australia from April 7 to 25.
