Lisa Britton is the newly appointed "birds and bees consultant" at the Chessington World of Adventures, a zoo in Surrey, England.
She was hired after a baby boom at the zoo, and she tells As It Happens co-host Carol Off that her job is to come up with answers to the inevitable questions children ask when animals do what comes naturally.
"The gorillas, I have to say, have no shame at all," she says, adding they often mate right at the front of the viewing public windows.
Britton says she has heard parents giving all kinds of answers when kids ask about the copulating animals. "The most common one is, 'They're just giving each other piggy-backs.'"
