Tropical Storm Georgette has formed in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Baja California in Mexico, as Lisa gathers strength in the Atlantic.

A tropical storm warning was issued Tuesday for southern Baja California and Mexico.

The storm has maximum sustained winds near 65 km/h, but weakening is expected once Georgette moves inland over the peninsula later in the day.

The storm is located about 100 kilometres south-southeast of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and is moving north-northwest near 15 km/h.

Meanwhile far out in the Atlantic, Tropical Storm Lisa formed early Tuesday with winds near 65 km/h. The storm is located about 850 kilometers west-northwest of the Cape Verde Islands off the coast of Africa.
