The killing of Saleem Shahzad, the Pakistan bureau chief for Asia Times Online, has sparked an outcry throughout the world. Over the past 14 months, 16 journalists have been killed in Pakistan after reporting on terrorism and security in the country.

This makes Pakistan the most dangerous place on the planet for journalists.
