A North Carolina father responded to his daughter’s disrespectful Facebook post by shooting her laptop and putting the video on YouTube.
The eight-minute, 23-second video — which has gone viral with more than two million views since Wednesday — shows Tommy Jordan reprimanding 15-year-old Hannah by reading a letter and then shooting her laptop nine times.
Hannah, who is not in the video, apparently wrote a long Facebook post complaining about the chores she is forced to do.
Her father said she didn’t think he would find her online tirade, but the IT worker said he accessed her Facebook page and was disappointed by the complaints, use of profanity and disrespect he saw.
"This is for my daughter, Hannah, and more importantly, all of her friends on Facebook who thought her little rebellious post was cute," Jordan said. "And for all you parents out there that think your kids don't post bad things on Facebook, well, I want to read you one I took off my daughter's Facebook wall."
Jordan reads his daughter’s post and then responds to each point, defending his parenting methods and telling her how easy she has it.
"I don't know how to say how disappointed I am in you," he said. "And how disrespectful you were to every single adult in your life. But kid, you got it easy. Way easy. It's about to get harder. It's about to get a whole lot harder. Today."
Jordan then goes off camera and takes out his .45-calibre weapon, shooting nine rounds into her laptop — adding she will have to pay him back for the bullets as well.
He ends the video by addressing the viewers, "Have a good day, y’all."
