During Italy's flooding, a video captures a helicopter rescue where a person is plucked from floodwaters and airlifted to safety in the country's Tuscany region.
The video shows a red and white helicopter, hovering low to the ground. Two people, one dressed in a red coat, hang from the bottom of the aircraft. The pair slowly maneuvers their way closer inside.
The video also shows streets covered in water — with floodwaters almost reaching one vehicle's windows. A boat is seen being pushed along by a strong current, before a wave crashes into it and flips it upside down.
It is common for flooding to happen in Venice this time of year, and on Sunday 70 per cent of central Venice was underwater. The weather system responsible for the flooding there has also impacted north and central Italy. In Tuscany, about 200 people evacuated their homes.
