Earthquake hits off Japan's east coast
No immediate reports of damage or injury

A strong earthquake registering magnitude 6.2 has struck off Japan's northeastern coast, but there was no risk of a tsunami.
There were no immediate report of injuries or damage from the temblor.
Japan's Meteorological Agency says Thursday's quake was centred off the coast of Ibaraki, about 220 kilometres east of Tokyo. It had a depth of 10 kilometres. The agency said there is no danger of a tsunami from the quake.
Nearly 20,000 people died or were left missing across Japan's northeastern coast after a massive earthquake and tsunami on March 11.The disaster damaged a nuclear power plant, forcing another 100,000 people to leave their homes because of a radiation threat.
