U.S. military plane crashes in Germany

Police say a U.S. military plane has crashed in western Germany.

A police spokesman said the pilot ejected from an A-10 Thunderbolt before it crashed Friday. He was injured and hospitalized.

The U.S. Air Force had no immediate comment.

The police spokesman, who declined to be named in line with policy, said the crash happened near Laufeld south of Bonn.
