Spain braces for hurricane-strength storm

People in northern Spain and the Canary Islands braced Saturday for a storm with hurricane-force winds of up to 160 km/h.
Interior Minister Alfredo Perez Rubalcaba advised people to remain indoors. Those living in the regions of Galicia, Castilla y Leon and Cantabria were expecting to be hit hardest.
Spain's airport authority AENA said further delays and cancellations were possible and advised travellers to contact their airline companies for flight information.
A cyclone gusting up to 190 km/h blew over the Canary Islands overnight Friday, forcing several flight cancellations and damage to parked cars.
