Don't have a cow, man! The Simpsons will appear on postage stamps.

America's most enduring dysfunctional family will be honoured with its own stamps, the U.S. Postal Service announced.

It's been 20 years since Homer, Marge and family invaded the airwaves on Fox television, and the postal service said it plans five stamps featuring the couple and their offspring, Bart, Lisa and Maggie.

No word on their dog, Santa's Little Helper, but it seems that even Mr. Burns was not able to pull enough strings to get his own stamp.

Artwork for the 44-cent stamps was done by Simpsons creator Matt Groening and will be available for preview April 9 on the U.S. Postal Service website, when the post office plans to announce the date the stamps will go on sale.

Created by cartoonist Matt Groening, The Simpsons is seen around the globe and boasts a myriad of television awards. Now in its 20th season, it is the longest-running U.S. prime-time sitcom ever.

In February, Fox announced it was renewing the show through 2010-2011, which will make it the longest-running prime time series in U.S. TV history.
