A man angered by a rap group's song opened fire on the performers at a concert in Senegal this weekend, according to local media and police.

Five people were injured in the shooting in Lobali, a north-western village located near Senegal's border with Mauritania.

The rap group had been performing a song called Vieux Colereux (Angry Old Man) when the shooter — a man in his 70s — opened fire, a local police officer told Reuters.

He felt the young rappers were insulting him with the song, the officer added.

Police arrested the man, while four of the performers and a female concertgoer were taken to hospital subsequently, according to media reports.
