A Pittsburgh bride and groom, still dressed for the occasion, spent their wedding night in separate jail cells after a late-night brawl.
Police said they jailed the newlyweds after an argument at a local hotel Saturday night.
David Wielechowski, a 32-year-old dentist, and 25-year-old Christa Vattimo were actually married a month ago in the Bahamas, but decided to repeat their vows at a reception with 150 guests.
Police said the newlyweds were checking into their hotel room when they began to argue, with Wielechowski reportedly knocking his new wife to the floor with a karate kick.
Two guests from another wedding party came to help the fallen bride, but then she turned on them, with the fight moving from the seventh floor to an elevator and down into the hotel lobby.
The newlyweds both face charges of assault, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. The bride also faces a public intoxication charge.
Vattimo, still wearing her wedding dress, left jail with her father on Sunday morning.
Her groom was also released Sunday, with a swollen eye, tuxedo pants, a bloodied T-shirt and only one shoe.
