More human remains have been found in the wreckage of a major freeway bridge that collapsed into the Mississippi River in Minneapolis on Aug. 1, police said Thursday.

Nine bodies have been identified so far since the Interstate 35 bridge crumbled during evening rush hour. Before the latest remains were found, four other people had been listed as missing.

The latest remains were found in two of four vehicles found at the bottom of the river, the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office said in a news release Thursday.

The sheriff's department said it will now try to identify the remains and notify the families.

U.S. navy divers were on the scene Thursday to continue the recovery operation.
