Mexican rescue workers wrapped up their search efforts Friday after pulling 32 bodies from the wreckage of a bus buried in a landslide two days ago.

Officials had originally feared anywhere from 40 to 60 people might have been aboard the bus when the rain-soaked mountainside gave way in the central Mexican state of Puebla.

Since Wednesday afternoon, hundreds of soldiers and rescue workers have been digging through mud and rocks by the winding road near the town of Eloxochitlan where the bus was buried.

All but two of the 32 victims — aged six to 48 — have been identified, officials said. Sniffer dogs brought to the site didn't detect any more bodies, officials said.

The bus was headed to the nearby town of Tehuacan Wednesday morning when heavy rainfall triggered the landslide.
