Omar Chaban, the owner of the Buenos Aires nightclub that caught on fire last month killing 192 people, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter.

Police in Argentina have been investigating reports that emergency exits were locked during the concert at the club on Dec. 30, to prevent people from entering without paying.

Although the Republica de la Cromagnon disco had a reported capacity of 1,500, authorities said there were reports that 4,000 people were in the club at the time of the fire.

At least 260 people were injured in the fire.

If convicted Chaban, who has been in custody for the past month, faces up to 25 years in prison.
