Royal Family gifts include garden gnome, clock radio
Buckingham Palace reveals list of official gifts
A clock radio, a garden gnome and a chocolate replica of the Windsor castle were just a few of the unusual gifts given to members of the Royal Family last year.
Buckingham Palace released the list of official gifts given to the Royals in 2013 by dignitaries and well-wishers at home and abroad. The eclectic list of items ranges from the ostentatious — a Royal Family portrait set atop a jewel-encrusted ostrich egg — to the peculiar — a knitted hat with real horse ears attached.
The strangest presents seem to have gone to Princess Anne. She was given a book titled Your Arms Remind Me of Pork Luncheon Meat as well as a portrait of herself riding a moose (courtesy of a Canadian artist).
